Florencios Tours and Travel – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Florencios Tours and Travel! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our services and apply to all bookings made with Florencios Tours and Travel. By making a reservation, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Reservations and Payments

• 2.1 Booking Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a deposit as specified during the booking process.
• 2.2 Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit card (processed through Stripe or PayPal) and bank transfer. Clients will receive detailed payment instructions upon booking confirmation.
• 2.3 Final Payment: The remaining balance (if any) must be paid before the tour or package start date as specified in the booking confirmation.
• 2.4 Currency and Fees: All prices are quoted in Brazilian Reais (BRL), unless otherwise stated. Clients are responsible for any currency conversion or international banking fees.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

3.1 Standard Cancellation Policy

• More than 30 days before the tour: 50% refund of the total amount.
• 30 days or less before the tour: No refund.

3.2 Group Bookings (5 or more travelers)

All group bookings are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation date. This is due to the prepayment commitments we make to secure transportation, accommodations, and guides.

3.3 Special Events (e.g., New Year’s, Carnival)

All bookings during high-demand special events are non-refundable.

3.4 Packages Including Hotels

Any package (individual or group) that includes hotel accommodations is non-refundable. We recommend reviewing all package details carefully before confirming.

3.5 Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including cancellations, medical emergencies, and delays.

3.6 Credits for Future Travel

At our discretion, non-refundable bookings may be eligible for a credit toward a future tour. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Changes and Amendments

• 4.1 By the Client: Requests to modify reservations must be submitted in writing. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Changes must be requested at least 14 days before the tour.
• 4.2 By Florencios Tours: We reserve the right to adjust itineraries or services due to weather, safety, or unforeseen events. Equivalent alternatives will be offered.
• 4.3 Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure, clients will be offered rescheduling or future credit options.

5. Client Responsibilities

• 5.1 Documentation: Clients are responsible for having all necessary identification, travel documents, and visas.
• 5.2 Health & Fitness: Clients must be in suitable physical condition. Any medical conditions or special requirements must be disclosed at booking.
• 5.3 Conduct: Respectful behavior is required at all times. We reserve the right to terminate services without refund for disruptive behavior.

6. Liability and Insurance

• 6.1 Limitation of Liability: Florencios Tours acts as an intermediary with third-party providers and is not liable for losses, damages, or injuries resulting from their services.
• 6.2 Travel Insurance: Proof of insurance may be required for certain packages. Clients are responsible for securing appropriate coverage.

7. Force Majeure

Florencios is not liable for disruptions due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government regulations). We will offer alternative arrangements or credits whenever possible.

8. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. Client information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available upon request. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rio de Janeiro.
